Finding Your Deck Part 2 - Aggro

July 21, 2017 by James Elhardt

Most of us have at this point in Destiny played Aggro. It is the strongest archetype right now as the speed and bursts of damage that can be created are very consistent and able to move faster than most decks can set up. Vibroknife: Cuts Through Shields Like They Aren't Even There!

July 05, 2017 by James Elhardt

For the low low price of 2 Galactic Credits this knife can be yours. It can slice through a smuggler, and still cut a tomato so thin you can see through it! Vibroknife is one of the biggest splash cards of SOR and I've seen a lot of discussion lately on whether it may be too strong.

Today I want to do another deck spotlight on the big bad mama jamma we all love to hate,  Palpatine. He's vile, he's manipulative and that is exactly how his deck plays. I love how thematic his deck can be.

June 22, 2017 by James Elhardt in Tournaments

We had our first local Dallas Store Champs a couple weeks ago at Common Ground Games and I had the privilege of judging the tournament. I wanted to talk a little bit about the breakdown of lists, feature our winner and talk more about why I hope for best of 3 becoming the format for all store champ cuts and hopefully the entire game in general.

The Dodge and Block Inclusion

June 08, 2017 by James Elhardt

Something I don't see as often in decks these days is the inclusion of Dodge and Block. It is a trend I love to see because I don't have to play around them nearly as much as in Awakenings. That said I do think it is a mistake to write these cards off when building decks. Today I want to talk briefly about why these cards are important, and why they should be included in almost every deck.

Gameplay Video: Luke/Rey v Han/Chewie

June 07, 2017 by James Elhardt

Here's a game with my Luke/Rey deck where you can see the flow of the game and how the events are versatile and dynamic. While the deck is a slightly older version than what I am running currently this will at the very least show why I love Luke/Rey so much right now.
